What would Isaiah tell us if he were around today? God is with us; God’s word is meant to help us; and Jesus is our salvation.

The woolly mammoth was as big as an African elephant, but unlike the elephant, was covered with fur. It lived during the last ice age, and its ears and tail were short, to minimize heat loss in the cold environment. The woolly mammoth ate grass as it roamed northern Europe, Asia and North America. It was hunted by humans, and its long, curved tusks were used to fight and forage.

Then it disappeared, with the last survivors dying about 4,000 years ago. The woolly mammoth became extinct.

Until, perhaps, now.

A company called Colossal Biosciences aims to bring the woolly mammoth back from the dead. It wants to revive the giant animal through modern genetics, and then to repopulate the Arctic tundra.
